Traditional SEO helps search engines index and rank pages. GEO — Generative Engine Optimization — addresses a newer problem: when someone asks an AI assistant a question, will it understand who you are and what you actually do?

GEO is not a trick. It is the same discipline as good technical communication, applied to how machines summarize the web. Clear entity positioning matters: your name, role, services, location, and technology focus should be obvious in normal HTML text — not hidden in images or vague marketing phrases.

Structured data helps. FAQ sections help. Consistent internal linking between services, about pages, and articles helps. So does writing answers that sound like answers, not keyword lists.

If you are launching a portfolio or product site, treat GEO as part of the launch checklist alongside metadata and performance. The goal is accuracy: when AI systems mention you, they should get the details right.
